There’s something truly magical about an engagement session that combines breathtaking landscapes with a couple’s unique love story! Ashley and Jack’s fun and adventurous engagement session in Big Sur, CA, was nothing short of amazing! From the iconic Bixby Bridge to the intimate moments shared with their cute dog, Lovebug, this day was filled with adventure, love, and laughter. Ashley and Jack were eager to capture their love story against the stunning backdrop of Big Sur’s coastline. They wanted their engagement session to reflect their adventurous spirit and include elements that were special to them, like their adorable dog, Lovebug, and their trusty Jeep. We started our journey along Highway 1, a road that was new to all of us, making the experience even more exciting!
Ashley & Jack’s Fun and Adventurous Engagement Session
Our first stop was the iconic Bixby Bridge. The views here were absolutely stunning! The bridge and coastline provided an amazing backdrop for Ashley and Jack’s photos. They were so natural and comfortable in front of the camera, and their love for each other was evident in every shot. Next, we traveled back up Highway 1 to Painters Point. This spot was a hidden gem with rocky formations that we had all to ourselves. Ashley had a fun idea to recreate a scene from “Pirates of the Caribbean” where Will plants kisses up Elizabeth’s leg. We mimicked the movie, and the images turned out beautifully! Ashley was so happy with the results, and it added a playful touch to their session.
Midday, we took a break to have lunch and grab coffee at a small, beautiful coffee shop. Of course, we couldn’t resist sneaking a few photos here as well! The intimate moments captured during this break added a cozy, relaxed vibe to the gallery. Another special moment during the session was when Ashley and Jack got to meet my mom, who will be their officiant at their intimate wedding in Maine in September! It was a wonderful opportunity for them to connect and get to know each other before the big day. Meeting my mom added a personal touch to the session, making it even more meaningful.
